Is there a new Dragon Ball game in 2024?
There is a new Dragon Ball game in 2024, as Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The game was initially teased at the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2023 event, and was shown to fans under the guise of it joining the Budokai Tenkaichi series.
New Dragon Ball Z game platforms
The new Dragon Ball Z game, Dragon Ball Z Sparking! Zero, is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms. Sadly, there isn’t a confirmed release for a Nintendo Switch or a potential mobile version of the game. Even players on last-gen platforms like the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One are left out of the party.
However, there is always a chance that Bandai Namco could make another port of the game, as we’d love to see Sparking! Zero become of the best Nintendo Switch games out there. With Dragon Ball Z Kakarot, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission releasing on Nintendo Switch, we’re hopeful that Sparking! Zero will follow the trend.
New Dragon Ball Z game gameplay
If you’re curious about what the new Dragon Ball Z game looks like gameplay-wise, the good thing is that Bandai Namco have released plenty of trailers to feast your eyes upon. Dragon Ball Z Sparking! Zero uses Unreal Engine 5 this time around, and you’ll be able to feel the upgrades as Bandai Namco packs action setpieces akin to Kakarot in the latest installment.
